Supply of High-Quality Mangrove Seedlings to Support Mangrove Restoration Under the “Improved Resilience of Coastal Communities in Ghana
- Background
ActionAid Ghana (AAG) is a national non-governmental organization and a member of the ActionAid International Federation. The organization is committed to promoting social justice, poverty eradication, and the realization of human rights. Our strategic focus includes climate resilience, youth empowerment, gender equality, and reducing inequalities.
ActionAid as part of the implementation of the “Improved Resilience of Coastal Communities (IRCC) in Ghana” project aimed at building resilience to coastal flooding and climate risks in eleven (11) coastal communities in Ghana intends to apply part of its funds to procure mangrove seedlings to the selected communities.
- OBJECTIVES
To procure high-quality mangrove seedlings from qualified suppliers to support mangrove restoration activities in the selected coastal sites.
- SCOPE OF WORK
The selected supplier will:
- Supply 988,750 healthy red (40%) and white (60%) mangrove seedlings.
- Ensure seedlings are disease-free and suitable for transplantation
- Deliver seedlings to designated sites.
- Maintain quality standards during handling and transport

All interested suppliers may visit https://ghana.actionaid.org/ for detailed Terms of Reference and submit their proposals to ActionAid Ghana via email Proposals.Ghana@actionaid.org by Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 11:59 GMT
Out growers or suppliers whose seedlings are nursed within the selected regions are preferred. This is to avoid shocks or stress on seedlings due to long distance travel and enhance adaptability. Only shortlisted suppliers will be contacted.
