Board Chair Field Visit

Participatory Review and Reflection Process is ActionAid’s internal mechanism which offers programme implementation teams the opportunity to reflect and solicit feedback from partners, collaborators and beneficiaries on how programmes are impacting communities.

As part of this review process, a delegation from ActionAid Ghana led by the Board Chairman, Nana Yaw Okyere- Aduachie and the Country Director, John Nkaw paid a courtesy call on the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Justina Owusu-Banahene
.
The visit is part of a five-day field trip to ActionAid's programme communities in the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo regions.

In his remarks, the Board Chairman, Nana Yaw Okyere- Aduachie commended the Minister for supporting ActionAid's programmes in the region.

He noted that ActionAid will continue to work with her office to drive home development.

The Country Director, John Nkaw, on his part expressed worry over the increasing incidence of violence against women and girls.

He said research conducted points to an increase in Violence Against Women and Girls, stressing that although ActionAid is achieving results through the Community Anti-Violence Teams across its programme areas, AAG will intensify collaboration with stakeholders to increase awareness on the menace.

In response, the Regional Minister, Hon. Justina Owusu-Banahene, commended AAG for the development support in the region, stressing, that more can be achieved for the country if all stakeholders join forces to eradicate poverty.
